ABOUT US

We are a pack made of a young lady and her wolfdogs. I actually like to use the word WE because together we make a team and together we built up Flow.

Flow was created with the idea of assisting and guiding people through the principles of coaching by using wolfdogs as co-coaches. We aim on the persons’s or organization’s development and growth, even it sometimes it might mean to take one or a few steps back, however we believe that life and all aspects of it keep flowing no matter what. This is the reason of the name, and also because, have you read Flow the other way around? It becomes Wolf.

By introducing my first wolfdog Kira in my other job where I work organizing youth exchanges with youngsters coming from different types of backgrounds I realized that Kira was a big help to those youngsters who had difficulty to open up; she was (and still is) a bridge between those youngsters and their will to take a step forward. As simple as it might sound, it really showed me how strong and how powerful a dog presence could be related to creating a bond with people, communicating and interacting with them.

I was already aware of the numerous benefits that animals can bring when they help people rehabilitating not only physically but also emotionally, or assisting people to get through their daily lives, therefore, when I started experiencing it myself with the exchange youngsters I decided that with Flow I could also give my contribution in this field. I have always had dogs by myself since young age. It means that I informed myself on how to educate, train, and take care of them, understanding the different breeds and their needs. I did not get any certificate for training dogs yet, but that is in my plans. Regarding the coaching and business part, I am currently heading towards the finalization of my Bachelor studies in Equine Business and Economics, where the element of coaching and of dealing with different clients and personalities is a daily tackled issue and for which reason I followed the Minor Study of Positive Psychology at Groningen Universityand did my internship at Wind OrganisatieOntwikkeling, learning the principles of Systemic Horse Assisted Coaching created by Ruud Knaapen.Furthermore, when I organize International Youth Exchanges together with my partner, coaching and communication techniques are applied continuously, which help me adapt to all kind of emotions and situations.

I also assist voluntarily in different personal development trainings where coaching is the main element applied on the clients. I followed the certified course of Dog Assisted Coaching at Pets4Care, the Cynological Instructor’s course at Happy Tails and the course for Pet Therapy, at Happy Tails.

Why ``Listen to your inner wolf``?
Why ``Listen to your inner wolf``?
The wolf for me symbolizes strong will, determination, self-confidence and wisdom. The word wolf used in the slogan is a figure of speech. When a person is coached, it is most likely because he or she want to achieve something, and once they achieve it, they will feel more confident and in certain way stronger, because they know that they can achieve their objective. Therefore, the word ``wolf`` symbolizes the desire inside each one of us to accomplish something, sometimes however we forget to listen to ourselves.

The method
The method
Coaching is open to numerous techniques and methods. Instead of ``method`` I prefer to describe the tools I use. The main tools during my coaching sessions are my wolfdogs, and like them, I choose for a very direct and confronting approach with my clients, Confrontation understood as bringing the client face to face with the issue and showing him or her that he/she has the answers, and these answers (or solutions) can be implemented as long as the client, together with my assistance (but also by him/herself), put him/herself in the position to make it happen.

MY TEAM

CANTO

He is currently the leader of the pack along with Kira. Shy, but fond of cuddles, he is very meticulous and refined in communication. He manages to enter into great confidence with his fellows and manages to do the same with people. Singing is used in observation processes.

KIRA

Co-coach and pet therapy dog. She is the leader of the pack and only female. He has a strong character, loves to do new things and is always ready to face new challenges. It is very independent and fair.

CHARU

Co-coach. Charu is an ultra sensitive animal and loves to bring “gifts” to people comforting them. At first glance it must analyze the situation in which it finds itself, but a moment later it reveals all the teddy that it is. Cooperative and delicate, it manages to convey a true sense of calm.

For the coming weeks Charu is not going to be available for the coaching sessions due to a training path which he will be undertaking. Keep an eye on our news and on our Facebook page to know when he will be operative again.

KAOUI

The latest addition to the team, but with a firm character. He loves balance and is therefore always looking for it with others. Kaoui has a higher percentage of wolf genes than the group and for this reason its communication is even more clear and courteous. Like Canto, Kaoui is also used in observation processes.

Charu and Kira are certified by Pets4Care (certified by the Registerplein certification center) which works according to the international quality criteria PetPartners, ESAAT, IAHAIO which ensure safety, trust, animal welfare and hygiene. The courses they have obtained are accredited by CRKBO. Furthermore, Kira’s “Therapy Dog” certification was issued by the Happy Tails dog training and education center.
